Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Free plan

The Free plan requires no payment and can be used indefinitely within its usage limits. No refund applies since no charge is made.

2. Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from the Billing page in your account settings, or by contacting us at hello@thefoundervoice.com.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.
  • After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data (drafts, voice profile, writing samples) is preserved — you can resubscribe at any time to regain access.
  • We do not prorate partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access for the remainder of the paid period.

3. Refund eligibility

We offer refunds under the following circumstances:

  • Within 7 days of first payment: If you subscribed to a paid plan and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first charge. No questions asked.
  • Service outage: If the Service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to an issue on our end, you are entitled to a prorated refund for the affected period.
  • Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly (duplicate charge, wrong amount, charge after cancellation), we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charge within 5 business days.

4. Non-refundable scenarios

Refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • You have used a significant portion of your monthly generation allowance (more than 50%) in the current billing period.
  • Your account was suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.
  • The request is made more than 7 days after the charge (except for billing errors or extended outages).
  • Downgrade requests — switching to a lower plan is not a refund event; the lower rate applies from the next billing cycle.

5. How to request a refund

Email us at hello@thefoundervoice.com with:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of the charge
  • The reason for your refund request

We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

6. Plan changes

Upgrades: When you upgrade mid-cycle, you are charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the current period. The new plan takes effect immediately.

Downgrades: When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You retain access to the higher plan's features until then. No refund is issued for the current period.
